  • Astrid is the Senior Special Projects Editor at TripSavvy, where she oversees editorial features and writes about a number of destinations. She has been with TripSavvy since 2016, where she previously led the site's social media and audience development initiatives.
  • Astrid has over 10 years of experience as a writer and social media strategist for news and brands, including ABC News, NBC, and Nickelodeon.
  • Her first job out of college was as a copywriter on the social media team for Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants.


Before joining TripSavvy, Astrid was a brand strategist at ABC News’s digital division, assisting in ideating and producing digital stories and videos for the division’s vast portfolio of brand partners. Prior to that, she served as the digital voice of SpongeBob and his friends at Nickelodeon, and assisted in the launch of the brand’s first ever international short film competition for passionate SpongeBob fans. Astrid credits her love for travel to her parents, who dedicated every summer to family travel, from the coasts of eastern Canada to the beaches of South America.
