Overview of the Dining Options on the Anthem of the Seas Cruise Ship
The Anthem of the Seas cruise ship has 18 dining venues for its 4,180 guests. This Royal Caribbean cruise ship's galley team works 24 hours a day, with 247 chefs, 18 bakers, and over 60 galley stewards. Including the guests and all the crew, the 27 galleys serve 55,000-75,000 meals each day. That's a lot of dirty dishes for the dishwashers to handle every day!
Since most cruise travelers are only on the ship for seven days, choosing where to eat might be difficult. The cruise ship has three different types of restaurants, and they are spread all over the ship.
These five restaurants represent the traditional main dining room on the Anthem of the Seas. Cruise travelers are not assigned to one of these dining venues but can try all four, each with a different cuisine and menu. There is no extra surcharge, but reservations are requested. Gluten-free, lactose-free, and vegetarian options are available at all these restaurants.
- The Grande
- American Icon Grill
- Casual Kitchen - This seafood venue is open exclusively to suite guests.
These eight casual restaurants enable guests to dine 24-hours a day and do not require a reservation. Most of these provide seating but are casual and the food is served either buffet style or takeaway. Those with an extra a la carte surcharge are noted.
- The Cafe@Two70 - Gourmet takeaway food
- Cafe Promenade - Coffees, snacks, and pastries in the morning and sandwiches and cookies throughout the day and night.
- La Patisserie - French coffeehouse and pastry shop. Extra surcharge.
- Michael's Genuine Pub - Traditional pub fare and craft beers from award-winning chef Michael Schwartz. Extra surcharge.
- Sorrento's - A Royal Caribbean favorite, with New York-style pizza
- Johnny Rockets - A classic diner with poolside burgers, fries, and shakes. Extra surcharge.
- Windjammer Marketplace - Anthem of the Seas largest venue, with many different stations serving food from around the world. The Windjammer replaces the traditional buffet.
- SeaPlex Dog House -Traditional hot dogs, bratwurst, and sausages, with a variety of toppings.
These five specialty restaurants are perfect for a birthday or anniversary celebration or just a special, memorable meal with a special person or special group of friends. Each of these has an extra surcharge.

Anthem of the Seas Wonderland Restaurant
The Wonderland specialty restaurant is located mid-ship on deck 5, quirky, and looks much like a restaurant you might imagine would exist in a magical world down a rabbit hole. It's worth peeking in, even if you don't have dinner there.
This intimate, 62-seat venue defines foods by element rather than course. The dishes are classified as one of six "elements"--sun, sea, ice, earth, fire, and dreams. Items like liquid lobster, crispy crab cones, terroir beef, duck liver fritter, and baked Alaska all sound tempting.
