For the first time, Disney's Animal Kingdom will extend its hours past its traditional dusk closing time and offer families several new experiences that happen after dark. In addition, popular attractions such as Expedition Everest, Dinosaur, and Kali River Rapids will remain open, giving guest more time to enjoy them into the night.

Rivers of Light
This after-dark show is set in a natural amphitheater on Discovery River in the Asia section of the park. Depicting an ancient lantern festival, the show features two storytellers who call forth animal spirit guides to lead the audience on a journey through the Rivers of Light. Expect live performances, floating lanterns, and swirling animal imagery.

Kilimanjaro Safaris After Dark
Each evening, the popular Kilimanjaro Safaris experience will be bathed in the look of sunset with special lighting that allows guests to enjoy this attraction well into the night. During the expedition, guests can now spy the wildlife at night and may discover two new species, such as African wild dogs and hyenas.

Harambe Wildlife Parti
After the sun sets, the popular Village of Harambe will become a hot spot with the new Harambe Wildlife Parti complete with local street musicians and entertainers and the serving of exotic foods and libations.Continue to 5 of 6 below.

Dinner at Tiffin's
The park's newest eatery offers a menu inspired by the places Disney Imagineers traveled to when developing Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Open for both lunch and dinner, Tiffin’s offers waterfront views from both indoor and outdoor seating areas. “Tiffin” is an Indian English word meaning a type of container used to carry food while traveling.

If you're staying at the nearby Animal Kingdom Lodge (or even if you're not) you can book a Starlight Safari to take you on a moonlit journey through the savanna in an open-air vehicle where you will see wildlife with a pair of night vision goggles. This night tour used to be available only to Animal Kingdom Lodge guests but now it's open to the general public.
