Andrew Madigan

Andrew Madigan is a freelance writer, editor, and novelist. He’s worked as a professor of creative writing, literature, American history, film, education, and other subjects in Tokyo, Dubai, Korea, Okinawa, Abu Dhabi, and the US. He’s also been a university administrator who founded and directed several writing programs. Andrew has edited several literary and academic journals, and he was Senior Editor of Oasis Living in Abu Dhabi. In addition, he’s worked as a columnist, rugby coach, book critic, food critic, and Bill Murray’s stand-in.

He has won awards for fiction, poetry, and journalism. His latest novel, "Dark End of the Street," was published by Gumshoe Books in 2020.

Education

Andrew has a Ph.D. in American Studies with a concentration in post-World War literature from Saint Louis University. He also has a BA from William & Mary, where he majored in sleeping through all his classes.
