For a tropical honeymoon destination, many people are surprised to find out that Thailand doesn’t have many all-inclusive resorts and mistakenly think that it’s not a great honeymoon destination because of that. In fact, the reason Thailand doesn’t have many all-inclusives is that it’s such an easy place to travel and plan. There’s just not much need for pre-packaged, pre-paid vacations when you can put one together so easily on your own.
Thailand is a very safe place and one you’re likely to want to explore. Having all your food, drinks and activities on one compound wouldn’t be as fun in a country like Thailand. Plus, you likely won’t save any money with an all-inclusive in Thailand compared to paying for everything ala carte.
If you are set on an all-inclusive resort for your honeymoon, there are just a handful of resorts in Thailand that will take care of everything for you.
- Club Med Phuket
Set on popular, family-friendly Kata Beach, this is Club Med’s only property in Thailand. The vast, grassy grounds overlook Kata Bay and it’s just a short walk across the road to get to the beach. Rooms are comfortable and modern, with some discreet Thai design elements. Like other Club Med properties, Club Med Phuket offers full board with drinks, though because food is so plentiful and inexpensive (and safe to eat) in Phuket, it may feel like a waste to be hanging out at the resort all the time.
- Evason Six Senses
Some of the Evason Six Senses resorts in Thailand offer all-inclusive packages which include transportation from Bangkok, lodging and meals. Six Senses Sanctuary on Phuket offers packages which include their acclaimed spa cuisine, wellness classes and spa treatments and Six Senses Soneva Kiri on Koh Kut offers packages which include transfer by private plane from Bangkok’s international airport, food, drink, laundry and most activities. Both resorts are stunning, exclusive and very expensive, making them perfect for a honeymoon if your wallet will allow!
