When the heat cranks up in Albuquerque, swimming pools become a place of welcome refuge. Albuquerque's public pools offer options of indoor or outdoor swimming. Some pools have slides and others diving boards. Public pools offer an affordable way to beat the heat, and pool locations around town ensure there will be one nearby. Dip your toe in one nearby, or try one you haven't been to before. They all offer the necessary cool for this time of year.

Outdoor pools open on Saturday, May 28 for the 2016 season, and continue to run through August 7. All pools are closed Memorial Day and July 4.

Free swim passes are available for the season on a first-come, first-served basis after Memorial to as long as supplies last.
