Albuquerque Public Schools Calendar

Albuquerque Public Schools open each August and run through May, closing most years in time for Memorial Day weekend. Most schools follow the calendar below, but some elementary schools are on an alternative calendar. Alternative calendar schools were once year round schools. They begin the school year earlier and have a longer intersession in each semester. The alternative calendars allow for more short breaks through the school year, and a shorter summer.

These calendars provide less interruption in learning and provide students with the opportunity to retain more of what they've learned throughout the year.

To find out what school calendar your school follows, look below to see the elementary schools that follow an alternative calendar. If your school is not on that list, your school follows the regular calendar. The majority of schools follow this calendar.
